AS REAL AS REAL
This exhibition was created at the end of a new 2 week digital artist residency within the @loopartcritique which is a project created by Ariel Baron-Robbins
“As Real As Real” is a meta-exhibition that examines the adaptation of identities as a means to embrace the cross-pollination of culture in the age of the internet. The possibility of a simulated identity and/or environment with the advent of digital tools provides artists with expanded resources and the ability to bend the laws of science, in contrast to reality. These experimental explorations within the Metaverse generate alternate realities, within, which present different modes of being untethered from the constraints of the “natural” world. As technology advances, can the simulated replace the real and become “more real than real”?
